Paprika Beef

Method

  1. Pound meat to about half inch thick
  2. Cut into finger size strips.
  3. Heat butter in heavy pan until frothing stops. add meat and brown quickly on both sides on high heat.
  4. Add the red pepper turn occasionally
  5. After 5 or 6 minutes season with salt, pepper and paprika.
  6. Sauté for 2 mins then .
  7. Pour on mixture of milk blended with the flour and tomato
  8. Bring to boil and check seasoning and serve

Ingredients

  • 1 and half lbs thin cut steak
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup or 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • half cup full fat milk or cream or sour cream
  • salt and pepper
